SE_Raid Mining Asteroid

An illustration I did for Stardrift Empires, an mmo on Facebook and syfygames.com. I've been working on this project for the past few months at Blue Frog Gaming, which has been awesomely fun and challenging.

This is a mission called Raid Enemy Mining Asteroid. in stardrift, missions are performed by building the appropriate ships necessary for that mission, then hit the start button. in this one you use a poseidon ship to raid a mine on an asteroid. i enjoyed this one alot, mostly in painting the lasers and detailing the ships. but the perspective on the large ship at the top was difficult to get, b/c it has weird angles. created a quick model in google SketchUp and painted over that. it's pretty damn fun painting an action scene, which i had done few of before this.
