this is actually social commentary about alligators. they sit in and mess up your room, play your games, and get you blamed for it. your friends/family then see you as a gaming slob. it's not your fault. it's the alligator's.

this is for the five parts to a character contest.
he's a gluttonous, reptilian, messy, couch potato nerd who wears 3D glasses. classic ones, not these newfangled clear ones.
this is supposed to be set early 90s/late 80s, hence the older gear. i gave him a joystick [like off on atari 2600] cuz i figured his hands'd be too pudgy for pushing buttons like an NES. he's a comic book nerd, and leaves them strewn about the floor, as well as an outer space nerd [hence the rocket ships]. and references to classic nerdoms: star wars/ sci-fi, gundam/ giant robots, batman/speed racer, and related comics.
the 3D glasses are there for good measure.
this is the first image in the last five that lacks deep blacks, particles, or textures. also the first recent upload with a light-hearted mood/color scheme. it was pretty fun to work on, getting away from the similar things i've been doing recently.

I can really feel the light hearted mood you put into this. The detail is really cool, I also love his expression. :3
Perhaps you could dim down the 'rainbowness' of it. I feel you could still achieve a lighthearted mood and colour scheme without all that colour. Although thats just me.
